Virtual Screening of Waging Change July 12-19 with Q and A on July 19 at 4pm

Join us to watch Waging Change, a film about the tipped minimum wage and the challenges faced by restaurant servers and bartenders forced to support themselves and their families on tips. The federal tipped minimum wage is still $2.13 an hour.

Right before the shelter in place orders were issued, we had planned to screen the film at the historic Castro Theatre in SF.  As the theatre has remained closed, with no idea of when it may re-open, we are presenting the film virtually.  So no matter where you are in the U. S. this film will be available for a week and then we will host a discussion on zoom with Saru Jayaraman, President of One Fair Wage, Nikki Cole, National Policy Director of One Fair Wage, and Noreen Farrell, Executive Director of Equal Rights Advocates and filmmaker, Abby Ginzberg. The post-screening discussion will be recorded and will be made available to all ticket holders.
